Sugarcane Yoga specializes in private yoga classes, corporate yoga programs, workshops and special events in the greater Seattle area.

Meagan Lass, founder of Sugarcane Yoga, began her journey into yoga in an unexpected and life changing way. Years of a working as a chef in the restaurant industry had created chronic stress and back problems. She had been suffering from constant pain for months when she walked in the door of her first Vinyasa yoga class. She knew immediately she had found something integral to her healing.

Through a regular yoga and meditation practice, Meagan found increased flexibility and strength, and reduced physical pain, stress, and anxiety. Practicing yoga allowed her the space for real growth and personal development; she started yoga to find relief from physical symptoms, but found so much more in her deeper mind-body integration. She also found within her a strength she didn’t know she had; inspired to support others in their journey to wellness she left her career in the restaurant industry and founded Sugarcane Yoga.  Meagan remains steadfastly committed to her own continual growth and sees herself as forever a student. She completed her 200 hour Vinyasa training with Sendatsu Evolution and their 50 hour Next Level training. She has since taken subsequent training in Yin through Soma Om, Advanced Yoga Therapeutics with Amy Ipolliti, and Yoga for Injuries with Jason Crandall.

Her down to earth, knowledgeable, approachable demeanor makes her accessible to students of all backgrounds, ages, and experiences. Her classes invite a sense of challenge, movement, meditation, and deep relaxation. She uses her unique skill set to design intelligent sequences that blend styles into customized yoga classes to help her clients heal, grow, and explore their own connection to their body & mind. She teaches private individual and group classes, corporate classes, and special events and workshops in the greater Seattle area.
